My journey into fashion didn’t start with a degree or a job title. It began in a small room filled with the sound of my mother’s sewing machine and the sight of her hands transforming old fabric into something new. My mother wasn’t just making dresses; she was crafting lessons in upcycling, sustainability, and creativity that would weave their way into the core of who I am.

Years later, I found myself immersed in the world of fashion design at Pearl Academy of Fashion in New Delhi. I sharpened my skills, worked with leading fashion labels and export houses, and grew as a designer and merchandiser. Yet, despite the glamour of the industry, I never lost sight of the humble beginnings that sparked my love for sustainable fabrics and designs.

Life took a turn when I became a full-time mom of two. But even then, the urge to create never left me. In between motherhood and teaching, I continued to fabric paint and craft made-to-order pieces. Every stitch was a reminder of the passion that quietly simmered within me.

When I moved to the UK, I knew it was time to reignite that passion. The leap wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. Before launching Emerald Atelier, I successfully ran my beloved shop on a leading marketplace, where my work and collections were highly appreciated, earning countless positive reviews and feedback from repeat customers. Every piece was a testament to my dedication, selection of designs sourced with meticulous attention to detail from select partners and artisans and infused with personalized service.
